Massage Therapy

Description and Philosophy

Chair massage brings a breath of fresh air into company meetings, parties, weddings, or anywhere relaxation is needed.  Show your employees, clients or customers how much you value their well-being.

NC Licensed Massage Therapists are available and can be scheduled for corporate events or meetings at ACC.  Chair massages can be scheduled in advance of the event in 15-20 minute increments, or clients can sign up at the event. The length of the chair massage may depend on the number of clients who participate if signing up at the event.

Meet the Staff

Elizabeth Madrid, LMBT, NC License #13115, is a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist.  She completed her training at Kneaded School of Massage.
Elizabeth’s goal is to provide each client with optimal benefits from massage therapy.  She specializes in several types of massage including:  Reflexology, which is the application of pressure to areas on the feet, hands and ears. Reflexology is generally relaxing and may be an effective way to alleviate stress.  Prenatal Massage, which helps improve circulation, as well as reduce tension and stress in the mother.  Lymphatic Drainage Massage,  a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart.
Elizabeth has worked with a wide range of clients with different needs and  tailors her sessions to the clients needs.

When and how often to get a massage varies from person to person.  You may want to schedule one just before or after a stressful event to cultivate a calm state of mind or to help you recover.  If you are in crisis or have an injury due to repetitive use and want to reverse the effects of long-term stress, you might schedule a series of massages.  If you feel you are under so much pressure you can’t afford to relax, or if the thought of being “soothed” seems unwelcome, this may be the time you most need to strengthen your reserves. By making massage a regular part of your life you can experience ongoing cumulative effects of reduced muscle tension, increased vitality and a calmer state of mind.  Massage has the potential to restore physically, mentally and spiritually.
